A journey deep into the Yucatán jungle to discover the ancient Maya city of Coba. You'll learn about their enigmatic culture, see the Great Pyramid, meet local villagers and swim in a sacred cenote
We arrive early in Coba so that you can explore it in the cooler and less-crowded time of the day. It's one of the more recently excavated sites in the Yucatán peninsula, and was once one of the Maya's most important cities. Highlights include the Great Pyramid that stands at more than 40 metres high and stelae that show the powerful female leaders of ancient Coba.
Next up is a visit to a Maya community, where villagers still live without running water or electricity. Experience a Maya ceremony before enjoying a traditional lunch in a nearby restaurant. There's time for a refreshing swim in a sacred cenote before heading back.
